Welcome To Our Campfire. Many people today are becoming more interested in Bushcrafting Skills and Survival for a variety of reasons. Whatever your reason.. we are glad that you have found us.

Our Mission

Too often in life we find ourselves unprepared for situations that we find ourselves in. Sometimes this is simply a minor inconvenience, but if you are out in the bush it could be deadly. Perhaps you are thinking to your self that you never go camping, hiking, or do anything else that would put you in this predicament. Let me ask you.. do you drive a car? Have you ever been on a back road and broken down? Would this be a possibility in your everyday routine? What if it was winter.. would you be prepared for such a scenario? Preparedness skills not only will enable you to know how to survive such dilemmas, but you will also find yourself becoming more confident and successful in every area of your life! So sit back.. browse through a few pages and get an idea of the many things available to help you sharpen your survival skills. Take a few minutes and practice some of the things found on the site…

  1. I am asking about the knife you use in your videos. the mora. where would you recomend to buy a good strong knife. I have a buck “Strider” But looking for a good fixed blade knife. Thank you.

  2. The Mora is a fine overall knife.. A bit small for chopping etc.. but I love it. You can find them online if you Google “Mora for sale” I LOVE my Becker BK-2 and think it’s an awesome larger fixed blade.. They are ~$60

Have you ever thought about adding a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is important and all. However think of if you added some great pictures or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and video clips, this site could definitely be one of the best in its niche. Terrific blog!

  4. Gergorio..

I will assume that you haven’t been off the home page. The site is filled with pictorials, videos, and appropriate textual content. Try looking through the menu at the top of the page.

  14. Vests are the way to go (i have no idea why caps won’t unlock). To save a little weight on your Peterson’s Field guide cut out the seasonal pages, index, acknowledgements, etc. you can get rid of 1/3 of the book without losing any good information.

  18. Aii I want to do is find a source for the best animal butchering/processing knives.I bought one that is Small, razor sharp & you have to switch out the blades. trouble is, getting the blades in & out, especially without cutting yourself. least wise for me anyway. keeping knives sharp is a whole other can of worms very frustraTing. my husband won’t participate but is a real meat lover!
